To determine ambient optical display performance, measurement standards require two separate measurements of spectral reflectance, directional and hemispherical diffuse. A linear and achromatic reflectance transformation exists for electrophoretic e‐paper. However, as it is unique to the measurement optics and the display's optical architecture, measurement rationalization requires carefully controlled conditions.
