We demonstrate polymer stabilized vertical alignment (PS‐VA) and in‐plane switching (IPS) liquid crystal display (LCD) prototype devices manufactured using graphene as a transparent conductive electrode. Electro‐optical performance of graphene‐based PS‐VA and IPS LCD prototypes is shown to be comparable and the optical transmittance is better than of ITO prototypes with an identical design. Graphene is demonstrated to be compatible with processing standards of modern LCD industry and to have a great potential for display and other electro‐optical applications of liquid crystals.
