In this paper, we propose a multi‐plane holographic display system without undesirable light. By controlling the radius of the divergent spherical wave loaded on the spatial light modulator (SLM), reconstructed image can be displayed on different planes. Undesirable light can be eliminated by setting an appropriate aperture in the light path. The experimental results demonstrate its validity and it has potential applications in real time holographic projection.
