For the purpose of good greenish property, we have developed a new HADS structure which is using novel separated Vcom method. HADS structure have a good aperture ratio and good LC efficiency, but in terms of display quality, especially greenish is bad due to large Vcom delay. We proposed separated Vcom method that is composed of two separated Vcom, Pixel Vcom and Shielding Vcom. Because Vcom of Pixel area and Vcom of shielding area is electrically separated, so Vcom coupling of pixel area can reduced. Therefore Vcom delay of pixel Vcom can be reduced, so good greenish can be achieved. This method was successfully applied to 18.5‐inch Full‐HD (1080X1920) TFT‐LCD display.
