Glass light guide plate has been fabricated by a mass‐production line. Backlight characteristics are equivalent to those of PMMA. Glass light guide plate itself can be a body of television without additional supporting members, which results in ultrathin and light‐weight television with a flat back and is suitable for wall‐mounted television.
