In this paper, we propose new dye colorants of color‐filter resister to increase color gamut area based on the new LED Backlight. The new dye materials showed good performance to enhance color gamut and transmittance in display. Also, it was verified that dye materials for color‐filter resister have the excellent reliabilities and advantages in real panel test conditions. As well as color gamut increases from sRGB 100% to sRGB 145% with new LED Backlight.
