In this paper a new type of curved TFT LCD which is 15inch 1024×768 integrated ASG solution has been presented. Curved display not only can get realistic visual effect but also fit human eyes better. Panel is fixed by curved backlight to achieve curved display. It is found that image quality of curved display is quite different from flat one. In this paper we discuss brightness uniformity of curved display both white and black image. Based on measurement results we discuss the difference between curved and flat LCD. According to the results,brightness uniformity of LCD should be improved by adjusting cell gap, module design and some IC technology such as local dimming.
