We have developed thin flexible TN‐mode LCD using new dyetype in‐cell polarizers formed on the PET substrates. This polarizer has high resistance for heat process and ultraviolet exposure. The fabricated devices exhibit advantages of thin thickness of 0.16mm, excellent flexibility, no need of optical compensating films for substrates, and high productivity.
