In this report we discuss the development of blue OLEDs employing tetradentate platinum complexes. We will discuss the development of a wide range of efficient, blue‐emitting Pt complexes enabling OLEDs with record purity blue emission of (0.15, 0.08), external quantum efficiencies exceeding 25%, or blue OLEDs with operational lifetimes of over 2000h.
