In this paper, we present the development of phosphorescent host materials, having triplet energy more than 2.5 eV, to sensitize red phosphorescent dopants. Some of the new phosphorescent hosts exhibited lifetimes (T 70 ) of about 40,000h at an initial luminance of 1000 cd/m 2 , with efficiencies as high as 28 cd/A at a driving voltage of about 4.2 V.
