Liquid Crystal mixtures to be used in microwave components operated at frequency ranges from 10 up to 100 GHz have been developed. In this frequency range they exhibit high tuning ranges and relatively low dielectric losses. They exhibit a very broad nematic phase, ranging from as low as ‐40 up to 120°C and more and relatively high polarity to ensure acceptable driving voltages to be used in planar LC‐based smart antenna devices.
