Touchscreen car infotainment systems now offer a larger variety and a more complex set of use cases than ever. Haptics have the potential to improve safety, utility, and user experience of these touch‐based systems. This paper will cover some haptic design considerations and discuss how to create compelling haptic experiences in a touchscreen infotainment system.
