A mura that would downgrade the LCD panels is unavoidable during the manufacturing. When LCD displays come to the era of ultrahigh resolution, the function of mura‐reduction represents more significant in Tcon design for cost reduction and improvement of display quality. In this paper, an algorithm of regional mura reduction is proposed, and demonstrated in HD displays. For hardware integration, a data compression method is also discussed to save the space of non‐volatile memory.
