The ZnO nanorods were fabricated from sputtered ZnO thin film. Amount of oxygen vacancies were successfully introduced into the ZnO nanorods in the post‐treatment procedure. The strong CL luminance from ZnO nanorods was 185cd/m 2 under the excitation of 500V, 10µA/cm 2 .
