Frank D. Sánchez, Ph.D., first entertained the idea of becoming a college president midway through his initial VP of student affairs position. The success the college had improving student retention and graduation rates prompted him to begin contemplating the role of college president. But it wasn't until a later student affairs post that the idea actually developed into “a more serious consideration,” he recalled.
