After a campus shooting or other violent act, many people ask, “What made him snap?” But “people don't just snap,” said Rebecca Bolante, Ph.D., C.R.C., C.T.M., director of threat management resources at Chemeketa Community College in Oregon. She spoke at a Campus Safety Symposium sponsored by the Association of Florida Colleges, along with Dave Benson, principal/owner at DJ Benson & Associates; Rick Parfitt, chief of police and director of public safety at Florida SouthWestern State College; and Ryan Woods, captain of the Police Department at Santa Fe College in Florida.
