On the cover : Sheep grazing in front of drifting icebergs near Tasiusaq lagoon, Narsaq, South Greenland. Agriculture has a rich history in South Greenland. Little knowledge exists on the gas diffusion characteristics of these subarctic agricultural soils, which are paramount in estimating both the root zone aeration and terrestrial greenhouse gas fluxes in this rapidly warming region. Weber et al. measured the soil gas‐gas diffusivity 201 × 3 soil cores across six Greenlandic fields to test existing soil gas diffusion models and characterize the gas diffusion characteristics.
