Summary In this paper, the distributed H ∞ consensus problem for second‐order multiagent systems is studied. We first propose a distributed control algorithm based on local information. In the presence of external disturbances, some sufficient conditions are then derived to guarantee that all agents reach the distributed H ∞ consensus, and meanwhile, the inputs of agents always stay in the nonconvex sets, making the results in this paper more practical. Finally, a numerical simulation is provided to show the effectiveness of the results.
