Electron ionization mass spectra of ethylenedithiotetrathiafulvalene and some derivatives were studied by accurate mass measurements, metasable analysis and collisional activation. A retro Diels‐Alder reaction involving ethylene extrusion is the most characteristic fragmentation process for these compounds.
