Confirmation and quantitation of LSD, as its trimethyI silyI derivative, is carried out using a commercial gas chromatography/mass spectrometry system. The method uses 4 times less sample than previous methods, extends column life by reducing the amount of derivatizing agent used and can detect and quantify LSD at the 10 pg mL −1 level.
