Product‐ion spectra derived from the major fragment ions of the polychloro‐cyclobutapentalene pesticide, Mirex, under ammonia chemical ionization have indicated that previous conclusions of a nucleophilic gas‐phase reaction with neutral ammonia were incorrect.
