Recently, one of the members of this group (Fritz) has observed some unusual properties of rouleaugenic polymer solutions. It was found that the diffusion coefficient of polystyrene spheres in these solutions displayed an expected fall followed by an unexpected rise in values when the radii of these particles are changed. In this paper we present some of these experiments and provide a thermodynamic interpretation of the rise in the values of the diffusion coefficient.
