The properties of V ‐coupling coefficients from SO (3) to the octahedral group are discussed and, for the purpose of practical use in ligand field theory, the numerical values from j = 1/2 to j = 12 1/2 have been worked out through an Elliott‐503 computer. The values for j ≤ 4 1/2 are listed.
