Abstract It is becoming increasing evident that conditions for superconductivity of ternary compounds are quite different from those for binary phases. In ternaries, even strongly magnetic rare‐earth elements can lead to high superconducting transition temperatures. Inversely, a new hypothesis of triplet pairing successfully predicts itinerant ferromagnetic compounds formed by superconducting elements.
