The electron affinities of glyoxal, methylglyoxal, and vitamin C have been computed. Some comments about their values are given and some aspects on the interaction of vitamin C and methylamine, which was used as a model of protein, are also shown. There is a weak attraction between vitamin C and methylamine. This attraction is probably enhanced by the presence of an oxygen molecule.
