The method of fractional parentage is extended to the general case of mixed configurations in arbitrary nonsimply reducible groups, G ⊂ SO (3). Particular attention is devoted to the calculation of coefficients of fractional parentage (CFP) and expressions are provided for the matrix elements of F and G type operators between N electron functions.
