Expressions of the spin‐spin splitting factors ( p ) for all the terms of f 7 electron configuration are evaluated and tabulated for general usage in the first‐order perturbation calculations. The values of the splitting factors for Eu(4 f 7 ), Eu ++ (4 f 7 ), and Gd +++ (4 f 7 ) obtained utilizing the above mentioned expressions and Hartree‐Fock wave functions are also presented.
