In e25854, Feng Xu from the Shaanxi University of Technology investigates the quantum tunneling process for a particle (i. e. a C60) in a double well using entangled trajectory molecular dynamics, based on the Wigner representation. For a conservative system in the absence of driving force (in the form of an external electromagnetic field), tunneling time shows obvious dependence from the wave‐packet initial energy, while inclusion of the external force introduces interesting chaotic behaviors in the system.
