Electromagnetic interactions are not transmitted instantaneously, but instead travel at the speed of light. This is common in relativistic field theory, and quantum electrodynamics is no exception. This effect is encapsulated in the retarded potential, where contributions in past time are integrated over consistently with the finite speed of the interaction. On page 932 Masahiro Fukuda, Kento Naito, Kazuhide Ichikawa, and Akitomo Tachibana present a method to efficiently perform these complicated integrations. (DOI: 10.1002/qua.25103 )
