Porous materials, such as metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs), are considered very promising in applications for hydrogen gas storage. Teng‐Fei Gao and Hong Zhang report on page 1438 (DOI: 10.1002/qua.24704 ) the use of theoretical calculations in the design of a novel material with high surface areas, similar to those in COFs, and very low density, comparable to that in MOFs. This combination of properties is desired in hydrogen storage systems.
