We discuss the dynamical deposition of the Na atom, the Na + ion and the Na 6 cluster on finite Ar clusters mocking up an infinite Ar surface. We analyze the scenario as a function of the projectile initial kinetic energy and of the target cluster size. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J Quantum Chem, 2007
