Transition intensity data on Rydberg electronic transitions of N 2 O, which are relevant to atmospheric and astrophysical studies, are reported. The calculations have been performed with the molecular‐adapted quantum defect orbital method, which has proven to be an adequate theoretical tool in the context of Rydberg spectra. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
