Administration of D‐cycloserine before or after exposure therapy sessions enhanced the therapy's effects compared to placebo in patients with social anxiety disorder, but a tailored approach to D‐cycloserine administration did not result in symptom improvement. The randomized trial's findings were inconsistent with the hypothesis that administering D‐cycloserine only after therapy sessions that were perceived as successful would improve outcomes. Study results were published online June 4, 2020, in JAMA Network Open .
