A population‐based cohort study has concluded that exposure to maternal antenatal corticosteroid treatment when preterm birth is imminent is significantly associated with development of mental and behavioral disorders in children. Differences between corticosteroid‐exposed and ‐unexposed children were most pronounced among children born at term, the researchers found.
