Adjunctive treatment with an estradiol patch led to improvement on a range of symptoms in a group of women with schizophrenia, a placebo‐controlled trial has found. The benefits of adjunctive estradiol were generally limited to women older than age 38. Study results were published online July 31 in JAMA Psychiatry .
