Augmentation of cognitive remediation therapy and social skills training with guanfacine significantly improved cognitive performance in a study of patients with schizotypal personality disorder, a disorder for which no efficacious treatment has been identified. Participants receiving guanfacine in the placebo‐controlled study saw significant improvements in processing speed, verbal learning, and visual learning in the eight‐week study.
