Patients with a well‐established genetic subtype of schizophrenia responded as well as other patients to treatment with the atypical antipsychotic clozapine but were more susceptible to potentially dangerous side effects, a new study has concluded. The results offer evidence of the utility of clinical genetic testing to guide treatment decisions for patients with schizophrenia.
