Monitoring blood pressure (BP) was found to be a reliable and effective method for studying anaphylactic responses of mice not subjected to fatal shock. This method has the additional merit of allowing use of the experimental animals for long‐term allergy research. Using this system, we estimated the antianaphylactic effects of a 35% ethanol extract (IB) of petals of Impatiens balsamina L.
