The antiinflammatory effect of a water extract of aconite root and its constituent alkaloids on adjuvant‐induced air pouch granuloma in the mouse was investigated. Aconite alkaloids were more potent than, and aconite extracts were equipotentto, hydrocortisone and indomethacin against angiogenesis in chronic inflammation.
