Andrographolide, neoandrographolide and 14‐deoxy‐11,12‐didehydroandrographolide, ent‐labdene diterpenes isolated from Andrographis paniculata showed viricidal activity against herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV‐1). None of these compounds exhibited significant cytotoxicity at viricidal concentrations. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
