Abstract Biological activities of ent ‐kaurene diterpenoids, rosthornins A–D, isolated from the ether extract of the dried leaves of Rabdosia rosthornii (Diels) Hara (Labiatae) were tested. They exhibited antibacterial activity specically against Gram‐positive bacteria, among which Propionibacterium acnes was noted to be the most susceptible. Copyright © 2004 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
