Abstract There is an error in the scale bar of the inset of Fig. 1b in the original manuscript. The corrected figure is presented here in Fig. 1. As the originally used figure (see Fig. 2a here) was not very representative for TiO 2 nanotubes grown under the described conditions we now provide a more representative picture (Fig. 2b) confirming an average thickness of ∼2.5 µm (as given throughout the paper).
