Exciton Lineshapes in Weakly Disordered Systems

Exciton absorptison lines are calculated for weakly disordered tight‐binding systems, using the coherent‐potential approximation (CPA). The scaled lineshapes depend only on the dimension of the system. The CPA results are compared with known exact results for chains, and numerical results for finite two‐and three‐dimensional systems.
