A disordered spin‐one Ising model with biquadratic exchange interaction is investigated within a functional integration approach. The free energy is presented in the form of a functional expansion in a series over the Fourier‐transformed density fluctuations. In random phase approximation expressions for phase transition temperatures are obtained. The structural disorder is simulated by means of hard core system structure factors.
