Mean‐field insight into the plasmon mechanism of the pairing arrangement in the one‐dimensional electron system

The mean‐field temperature of the insulating transition is obtained for the one‐dimensional electron system with the interparticle interaction that can be expressed with the help of the dielectric response function. To illustrate the results a detailed calculation of the transitiontemperature is presented for the one‐dimensional system with the tight‐binding particle spectrum and with the effective interparticle interaction of Coulomb type that is evaluated in the plasmon‐pole approximation.
