Using the effective‐field theory with corrections, the critical behavior of a magnetic superlattice consisting of two different ferromagnets is examined in a spin‐1 transverse Ising model. The dependence of the critical temperature on the thickness of the constituents in a unit cell is investigated for different cases. A critical value of the interface exchange coupling ( J ab ) c above which the interface magnetism appears is found, and the effect of the transvcrsc field on ( J ab ) c is also investigated. All the results are understandable by phase diagrams.
