The band structure of the ordered and disordered Pd 2 TiAl and Pd 2 TiSn Heusler alloys is studied by using the LMTO and LMTO‐CPA methods. The self‐consistent spin‐polarized LMTO calculations show that these systems are not magnetic and the shape of the density of states is in good agreement with the ultraviolet photoemission spectra for the Pd 2 TiAl alloy. Our theoretical calculations indicate the existence of a small sub‐peak near E = −9 eV in the UPS spectra for Pd 2 TiSn.
