The functional integral formalism, combined with a Monte‐Carlo calculation for the magnetization of rare‐earth spins, is used to describe the magnetic properties of RT 2 compounds. The results of the numerical solution of the coupled self‐consistent equations, involving both itinerant d electrons and localized f spins, are presented and discussed.
