A relativistic study of electrical resistance in a one‐dimensional finite crystal with rectangular barrier type of atomic potentials is reported. The procedure applied is based on an appropriate relativistic generalisation of Landauer's non‐relativistic treatment of electrical resistance for a finite number of potential barriers. The relativistic impact on electrical resistance in our model is studied only in regard to the velocity of electrons. The quantitative extent of such an impact is critically discussed.
