Compton profile studies of Cr x Ni 1− x alloys are made for concentrations x = 1.0,0.58, and 0.20. Present measurements indicate peaking of the Compton profile around x = 0.5, which is very similar to that of Ti x Ni 1− x alloys. The model of electron rearrangement between 3d and 4s states of individual metals with a transfer of about 0.25 electrons seems to explain the observed peaking of the profile at x = 0.58.
